Let's Head to Austin

It's time for another City Wide Garage Sale in Austin Tx.  Want to go, you'll find lots of great things at this show.

Like these things:

I'm sure you'll find Industrial things here, especially in Charyl Coleman's booth.  She'll be back this month and

so will Mickey and Brandy:

You never know what you'll find with them.  I always find a treasure or two

And...we'll be there with a mixture of things, a lot of white, some black, and industrial:

You might find something like the items above,

who knows what we'll bring so you'll just have to come and see.

Remember early buying starts at 8:30.  For more info. on the show, click HERE.

Ann Perry's Home

You are in for a real treat this Sunday morning as I'm taking you to Ann Perry's beautiful home.  I've featured her place many times on my other blog and I've done several posts there on her Open Houses at her shop, The Tin Rabbit.

It was a real treat to get to visit with her yesterday.  I don't know how I forgot my camera because I'd been looking forward to visiting her all week.  The pictures I took were with my phone and while they weren't the best you can still see how fabulous her place is.  I also wanted to mention she's in the Heritage Antique Mall in Lufkin and I found several treasures with her there too.

I hope you enjoy her gorgeous home:

From the moment you walk into her home, there's just such a calmness.

Of course her decorating skills and the great eye she has for finding things, just makes you want to soak it all, you just don't know where to start.  So I just stand there letting my eye wander.

I love the plantation shutters she has sprinkled all over her home.  She says they were a recent find and even put some in her shop.  I believe she said they all sold the first week.

Her beautiful slipcovered chair makes you want to stay a while.

All her vignette's she's created are always so inviting.

Look at this beautiful dress form.  A friend brought it back for her from Paris.

Now look at this sofa.

Can you tell what she's done to it.

No, she didn't recently reupholster it, she painted it.  Isn't it fabulous!

I love all the architectural items she finds for her home.  They are great finds.

Here's another corner of her living room.  See her new line of pillows.  The great signature pillows that Ann has featured for many years can always be found at her sales.

I'm even the happy recipient of one of her wonderful pocket pillows that she gifted me with a while back.

She opens her shop several times a year for fabulous sales.  I'm sure she'll post about her next sale or if you can't wait you can always check out her things at the Heritage Antique Mall in Lufkin.

Happy Sunday!!

Zapp Hall is the Best!

The Zapp Hall Antique Show in downtown Warrenton Texas is the best show to shop at.  Great dealers, great food, great atmosphere and they are usually open late.  Need I say more:

And of course there's the Junk Gypsy Prom:

(all photo's JGB)

A not to be missed event.

Haven't you always wanted to relive your prom.

If not, at least go for the fun.

See ya there!

Antique Gallery in Round Rock

We stopped by the Antique Gallery in Round Rock Texas this weekend and saw lots of fun treasures.

Like the unqiue awning and cage in this pictures.

Love all the white things in Susan's booth, especially the tall columns.

Now this booth I was drawn to instantly.  I'm not sure if it was all the cool things they had, like these bottles:

Or if it was this display of bottles and the doll head:

Or the chippy white frame below:

But I think it was because I originally owned this sign:

It may have just been a combination of it all.

Here are more things that caught my eye:

Aquariums are always a favorite thing to have, but I left this one behind.

And this was an interesting booth too.  The cage and metal screens were great too.

The Antique Gallery is located in Round Rock Texas. They always have great treasures to see.  Just make sure you have a few hours to spare because the store is huge.  If someone knows whose booth the Motel Sign belongs to I'd love to know.  They did have a great eye.  Have a great Spring Break week.
